It isn't worth it for everyone.
Claiming costs you the £12,570 personal allowance for that year. Below about £100k with a few weeks abroad, that usually costs more than the relief saves. Above £125k your allowance is already gone, so almost any time abroad pays.
Most tax-refund sites won't show you this table. If you're on the wrong side of it, the check says so, and you pay nothing.

How it works
- 1
Free check
Your pay and roughly how many days you worked abroad. You see the numbers straight away, including when claiming isn't worth it.
- 2
Build the day file
Connect your Google Calendar, or upload a calendar file from Apple or Outlook, where your flight and hotel bookings are. We turn them into trips; you confirm each one.
- 3
We check and file
A qualified tax adviser reviews every day and every number. HMRC posts you a code to approve us as your agent; you type it in, and we file.
- 4
HMRC pays you
Straight to your bank, usually within a few weeks of filing. If HMRC ever asks about the claim, we answer for you.
One price. No percentage.
£349 per tax year including VAT, £299 for each extra year. Evidence file, adviser review, filing as your agent and HMRC enquiry cover are all included. Nothing to pay if the check says don't claim.
What the fee covers
- A qualified tax adviser checks every day and every number before anything is filed.
- We file as your HMRC agent, so HMRC's letters and questions about the claim come to us, not you.
- A day-by-day evidence file, kept for as long as HMRC can ask about the claim.
- If HMRC opens an enquiry, we answer it at no extra cost, even if you've moved home.
- Your refund goes straight to your bank account. It never passes through us.
You can also claim yourself, on paper or with tax software that handles the residence pages.
Refer friends, pay less. Everyone on the waitlist gets a referral code. A friend who uses it gets £25 off, and each friend who submits their claim takes £25 off yours. Ten friends cover a founding-price return, so you keep your whole refund.

About the name
Australians say the pavlova is theirs. New Zealanders know it's theirs. We're not getting involved. What both sides can agree on: if you came over on a Youth Mobility, Skilled Worker or Ancestry visa and you still fly home for work, it's worth two minutes to check. Anyone new to the UK after ten years away can use us, Brits coming home included.

Questions
What is Overseas Workday Relief?
A UK rule that lets people who've recently moved here leave out of UK income tax the pay for days they worked outside the UK. It covers up to your first four tax years of UK residence if you hadn't lived here in the ten years before. From 6 April 2025 it's capped at 30% of your pay (and £300,000).
Why don't I get it automatically?
Your employer runs PAYE as if every day was worked in the UK. Employers can ask HMRC to apply part of the relief through payroll, but few do, and you still need a Self Assessment return with the residence pages (SA109) to make the claim.
Can I claim it myself?
Yes. You can claim on your own Self Assessment return, using commercial tax software that supports the residence pages, or on paper. HMRC's free online service can't file those pages. What we add: the day-by-day evidence, the numbers checked by a qualified adviser, filing as your agent, and cover if HMRC asks questions, for a fixed fee.
What's the catch?
Claiming costs you your personal allowance for that year: the first £12,570 you'd normally earn tax-free. On a modest salary with a few days abroad, that costs more than the relief gives back. The free check does this sum for every year and tells you plainly when not to claim.
How far back can I go?
Each year has its own deadline: for 2025/26 it's 31 January 2028. If you arrived before April 2025, earlier years only count if you claimed under the old remittance-basis rules. The check asks.
Does it change my National Insurance?
No. The relief is for income tax only. National Insurance on your pay stays as it is.
Is there any paperwork?
Almost none. You sign our engagement letter on screen and upload a passport photo. To let us act for you, HMRC posts you one letter with an authorisation code, and you type the code into your account. Everything else is online, and HMRC pays any refund by bank transfer.
What if HMRC asks questions later?
We build a day-by-day evidence file before filing: calendar, card statements, tickets. If HMRC opens an enquiry into a claim we filed, we handle it at no extra cost, even if you've moved back home.
Do I have to be Australian or a Kiwi?
No. Anyone new to the UK after ten years away can claim, including Brits coming home. We just started with the people we know best.
When do you open?
We're completing our registration as an HMRC tax agent and our anti-money-laundering supervision first, so we can act for you properly. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment we're ready. You can do the free check today.
How do you get paid?
A fixed fee per tax year, never a percentage. You pay when you approve the return, before we file. HMRC pays any refund to you, never to us. If the check says it isn't worth claiming, you pay nothing.
How does the referral code work?
When you join you get a short code. A friend who uses it gets £25 off their first return. Each friend who submits their claim takes £25 off your next submission. Rewards stack: ten friends cover a founding-price return, so you pay nothing and keep your whole refund. Rewards you don't use carry over to your next tax year.
